“Domov sociálnych služieb a zariadenie pre seniorov SENICA” (“Social Services Home and Facility for Seniors SENICA“) is a social services facility that within the framework of complex care provides professional and specialised services to recipient of social services: persons who haven’t yet reached the age of retirement or persons who have reached retirement age and are now dependent on the assistance of another person.

The founder of the “Domov sociálnych služieb a zariadenie pre seniorov SENICA” (“Social Services Home and Facility for Seniors SENICA“) is “Trnavský samosprávny kraj” (“Trnava Self-governing Region”).

The facility is situated in the residential area of Senica city, close to the quiet city park. The advantages of this location are:

  • The close proximity of the city centre allows more opportunities for social engagements
  • The long distance from busy roads helps enable a peaceful environment

The facility building is owned by the city of Senica. It has 5 floors divided into three blocks, A and B – the social services home and the specialised facility and block C – the facility for seniors (retirement home). Access to each floor is by stairs and elevators. On the ground floor there is a dining room with kitchen, laundry, offices for employees and a library. On the other floors there are client rooms, social rooms, emergency rooms and a chapel.

Object of activity

“Social Services Home and Facility for Seniors SENICA“ provides social services to address adverse social situations in the form of a year-long residential social service:

  • for persons who have reached retirement age and are dependent on the assistance of another person and the level of their dependency is at least IV., or for persons who have reached retirement age and because of different serious reasons they need to be provided with social services

the facility for seniors (retirement home) which has a capacity of 80 clients.

  • for persons who haven’t yet reached retirement age and are dependent on assistance of another person and the level of their dependency is at least V., or for persons that haven’t yet reached retirement age that are blind or practically blind and the level of their dependency is at least III.

the social services home with capacity of 200 clients.

  • for persons who are dependent on assistance of another person and the level of their dependency is V. and have Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, pervasive development defects, multiple sclerosis, schizophrenia, dementia with a different type of aetiology, AIDS or structural/organic brain syndrome in an advanced stage, deafblindness

the specialised facility with capacity of 40 clients.
